The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is set to face increased scrutiny from Congress in the coming days. The US Financial Services Committee has noted that the SEC has not been reauthorized since 2015 and as per orders, Congress is set to review the agency and make necessary changes to ensure that it is functioning efficiently and effectively.
