The European Union has been closely examining the regulation of crypto smart contracts in the decentralized finance sector and it appears that their stance is becoming more relaxed. According to a draft proposal of the Data Act obtained by The Block, the EU lawmakers have agreed on a new text that significantly reduces the weight and scope of the article on smart contracts.
