Change of Heart: Logan Paul Apologizes to Coffeezilla Amidst Fallout Over NFT Project

[ad_1]

In a surprising turn of events, Logan Paul deleted his response video targetting Coffeezilla’s series on CryptoZoo, where he accused the latter of spreading misinformation and even threatened to take him to court.

From posting sketches on Vine to transitioning to YouTube and even fighting in the WWE, controversy and legal issues have followed Logan Paul’s ever since he was a teen. His rise to fame has been chaotic. The social media star’s NFT venture – Crypto Zoo – is no different. There is no denying that the project is in a lot of mess.

After walking back Coffeezilla’s claims, Paul said he wants to take accountability, apologize, and come forward with a plan for his NFT venture in the near future.

Logan Paul’s Apology

Popular internet detective Coffeezilla, aka Stephen Findeisen, claimed that Paul’s Crypto Zoo project was a scam over a three-part series.

As reported earlier, Crypto Zoo launched in September 2021 with Paul as one of its founders. Before that, the 27-year-old Ohio native’s push garnered a significant frenzy in the game, which was claimed to let users clock in a passive income. Despite promising huge returns, Coffeezilla said investors were left with big holes in their pockets.

More than a year later, no game has materialized. In the video, the investigator alleged that CryptoZoo had been abandoned by the developers shortly after its 2021 launch, with Paul distancing himself from the project quietly thereafter.

After staying silent for a few days, Paul retaliated with insults for “sensationalizing” the story. He defended himself by placing the blame on two individuals currently under criminal investigation, who served the role of co-founders and advisors of CryptoZoo, as the true culprits of any wrongdoing. Paul also spoke about the controversy in a now-deleted episode of his podcast ‘Impaulsive’ and promised to drop a defamation suit.

Less than a week later, he apologized to Coffeezilla. The post, which was made on the Discord server, read,

“I will be taking accountability, apologizing, and coming forward with a plan in the near future. Thank you all for believing in this project and sticking with me. It was rash and misaligned with the true issue at hand, so I called him today and apologized… the war is not with Coffee. In fact, I’m grateful he brought this to light.”

Tryst With Shady Crypto Projects

This isn’t the first time Paul has found himself in hot water over a shady project. In fact, the social media celebrity was accused of promoting a “shitcoin” called Dink Doink in July 2021.

Paul was the main focal point of the promotions of the project that parodied the popular animated show “South Park.” He drew significant flak after it lost all of its value.
