Blockchain Bets vs WINR

Welcome article #2 of my comparison series, where I will be providing you with a detailed analysis of Blockchain Bets ($BCB) vs WINR Protocol, two gambling platforms within the #GambleFi space. I will be presenting similarities, differences and conclusions across various categories, with the focus on presenting objective information with the to provide a balanced comparison that highlights the strengths and weaknesses of each token, ultimately helping you to make an informed choice.

This comparison series will cover the following categories:

  • Current Platform Offer
  • Security
  • Tokenomics
  • Staking
  • Development
  • Exchange Listings

Blockchain Bets platform is currently operating in Beta testing on their new Sportsbook v2, which offers 47 live Sports and Events (as of 15th April), with a ranging volume of matches and markets to bet on, with 7 sports having over 100+ selections. Sportsbook v1 is still also running in parallel as a slimline model, offering 10 sports. They also offer over 4000 arcade games and casino options, in addition to their own BCB Original games, of which there are 7 to choose from.

WINR Protocol currently offers 10 games that players can enjoy, but if I’m honest most of them are already available as Blockchain Bets Originals. They have Poker, Roulette, Blackjack, Video Poker and Mines coming soon, but no update as of yet:

I actually delayed this article to provide $WINR with an opportunity to have their mainnet launched, but they’ve encountered delays with JustBet’s audit which will take roughly 2 weeks:

WINR Audit Delays via JustBet

Based on the current platform offer, Blockchain Bets offers substantially more for their community and users at this time.

Verdict: $BCB

Blockchain Bets has recently undergone Certik Auditing, passing with no major, critical or medium concerns. Overall there were 8 minor and 5 informational findings, all of which have been acknowledged by the team already. If you want to see the report in more detail, you can find it on the Certik website here, but the screenshot below provides a great summary:

Certik Audit — Blockchain Bets

WINR Protocol underwent an Audit via Paladin Blockchain Security. There were no high concerns, but 1 medium 10 low and 15 informational findings were made. All have been resolved other than 2 of the low findings (1 partially resolved, 1 acknowledged but no changes made) and 1 informational (partially resolved):

WINR Audit

In addition, they also completed an Audit on their Genesis WLP Farm, in which 1 medium, 2, low and 2 information concerns were found. All have been resolved accept 1 low and 1 informational (both acknowledged but no changes made):

Given the errors found and total volume, in addition to JustBet also awaiting completion of an Audit to enable MainNet to launch on WINR, $BCB is the winner in this category.

As a side note, I also couldn’t find any information out on their team who seem to be anonymous, whilst Blockchain Bets Lead Developer Sean Dwain is fully KYC’ed:

Verdict: $BCB

Blockchain Bets has a total of 1 billion tokens, which can be broken down as follows:

  • 878m in Circulation
  • 41m in Exchange Reserves (From Circulation)
  • 122m Burned
  • 2397 Holders

WINR also has a total of 1 billion million tokens, with a WINR / vWINR Ratio: WINR / vWINR Ratio: 42% / 58%, in which 92m WINR is currently in Circulation.

To help clarify the $WINR tokenomics further:

Circulating Supply on Token Generation Event

  • 10% of the supply is sold through the public sale on Camelot (50% WINR, 50% vWINR)
  • 5% of the supply is allocated to Protocol Owned Liquidity (100% WINR, 1% vested over time)

Minted at Token Generation Event (non-circulating)

  • 2.5% of the supply is allocated to Treasury, minted to a multisig controlled by the WINR DAO

Minted Over Time

  • 37.5% to Ecosystem Rewards minted over time by players and WLP providers (100% in vWINR)
  • 0.5% to Referral Rebates minted over time by the referees (100% in vWINR)
  • 2.5% to Genesis WLP and Early staking rewards with 12-month linear vesting (100% in vWINR)
  • 17.5% to Core Contributors with 24-month linear vesting (100% in WINR)
  • 7% to Marketing and Partners with 24-month linear vesting (50% WINR, 50% vWINR)
  • 1.5% to Advisors with a 36-month linear vesting (50% WINR, 50% vWINR)
  • 1% to Previous Holders of WINR with 24-month linear vesting (50% WINR, 50% vWINR)
  • 15% to WINR Labs with a 6 months cliff and 36-month linear vesting (50% WINR, 50% vWINR)

Finally they have 3856 Holders based on Arbitrum, and 444 based on Etherscan.

WINR Protocol — CoinGecko

$WINR have a very complicated Token overview. However, I’m not saying that’s a bad thing and it prove very fruitful for them, but it is very difficult for the average crypto user to make heads and tails of (It certainly was for me). Alternatively, $BCB provides a straight forward breakdown as 100% was released to the community, burned, or stored in the token’s treasury. Although $WINR have 2x as many holders within their addresses, $BCB also have 46% of their token staked, which makes it very close. Factoring everythng in, I believe $WINR holders just about take this one based on holder numbers.

Verdict: WINR

$BCB offers it’s stakers 100% rewards from all profits generated on the platform after operating fees. This is significantly higher than $WINR, who offer stakers 60% profits from what they define as a bribes mechanism via revenue. They also offer Liquidity Pool opportunities, but there is a clear winner in this category as $BCB are sector lead.

Verdict: $BCB

Blockchain Bets has been producing monthly roadmaps and achieving all targets before month end. This has been noted within their social media pages with continuous, almost daily updates for their community. WINR failed to meet their MainNet launch for JustBet and although very busy on their Social Media, there isn’t much to show for it on their platform. I did dive into their Discord chat and the community seemed to be quite frustrated with a lack of communication and delivery.

$WINR (5) has 1 more exchange listing that $BCB (4), but $BCB has a Tier 1 exchange listing in MEXC Global which holds significantly more weighting. When looking at volume per 24 hours, $BCB leads this but only slightly, with both platforms experiencing volumes in excess of $1m over the last 24 hour period. Based on the Tier 1 exchange, $BCB has a better selection of Exchanges and takes this category.

Verdict: $BCB

It is clear to see from the above that Blockchain Bets ($BCB) is stronger than WINR in multiple categories at this point in time, mainly due to their transparency and platform offer, which is significantly greater. Whilst $WINR may be able to corner some of the market as they do offer a different model which provides developers opportunities to create and share their games, their platform offer is severely limited at this point and their staking opportunities fall short of $BCB’s, a big selling point when onboarding investors onto the platform.

I would strongly recommend that readers conduct their own thorough research into $BCB and $WINR. This article has been written independently based on my own personal review of both tokens and although a holder of $BCB, I have aimed to be impartial to provide a fair, accurate and unbiased review for my audience. I believe this to be of paramount importance when people may be looking to invest.
