How to Buy Stampunks on Rarestmps.xyz

Now that Stampunks is an official collection on RareStamp.xyz it has become easier than ever to actually buy one provided you have Bitcoin and a simple CounterParty wallet like Freewallet.

Since this is a niche crypto article I’m going to make the assumption that you already have a little Bitcoin or know how to get some, but I will not assume you have a CounterParty wallet.

Ok, let’s start with setting up Freewallet.

As you can see it is available on mobile and on a desktop for all the most popular operating systems. Choose the one that works for you.

For crypto natives reading this, the rest is pretty straightforward.

If you have a Counterwallet you can just import your seed phrase
If not, create a new wallet.
Copy your 12 words somewhere safe
Open your wallet

You will have to deposit BTC to one of your addresses to actually buy Stampunks, because they are like CounterParty assets and not Ordinals.

Ok, now that we have that out of the way we can proceed to RareStamp.xyz.

As you can see the first listed collection is Stampunks.

The website is simply a neat front end for Xchain and Counterparty where the dispensers you will buy a Punk are located.

Every asset on the market that has an open dispenser will show a lock icon with a green light if open.

It will look like this.

As we can see, that dispenser is currently open and the price is .3 BTC.

If you click on the area where you see the green light and the price it will take you directly to the dispenser on Xchain, which is where BTC Stamps and CounterParty assets are sold.

In the image above you can see a QR code and a BTC address.

If you want that Punk and have .3 BTC to spend you will send it to that address and once the transaction is confirmed you will see the Punk in your Freewallet under whatever address you sent the payment from.
