For instance in the case of doing business with soulbound identities, businesses can have more assurance of the individual they are dealing with. Businesses can trust that the personal data they are collecting from their customer is accurate and up-to-date. This would in turn help to reduce fraud and improve the overall customer experience. Likewise, it would allow businesses to comply with data protection regulations that may be put into practice by the country they are conducting business in.

It’s worth noting that soulbound identities are not the only solution for digital identity, but it’s a promising one that we should keep an eye on. As the world becomes increasingly digitized, the need for secure, self-sovereign digital identities will only continue to grow. And soulbound identities are one of the most promising solutions that we have today that could likely see widespread adoption in web3.
